Sunrise star Katie Brown has revealed she suffered a kitchen disaster while spending time with her boyfriend’s family over Christmas.

Brown said she “stuffed up” while making her “legendary” potato bake for her boyfriend Jack Hooks and his family.

Brown made the confession on the Sunrise desk, with co-host Monique Wright revealing potato bake was a sensitive topic in the newsroom.

“I had one job and I know I can nail potato bake, but this Christmas was quite sensitive,” Brown said.

“I had to make it for my partner’s family and extended family … I failed.

“After three hours of baking it, it was still hard.

“I overthought the process and I stuffed it up.”

Although co-host Wright said the potato bake is usually “legendary”, Brown said the “stuff up” was so bad that she would never cook again.

“I’m never cooking again,” she said.

“(Now) let’s move on to cricket, something else I’m bad at on Christmas Day.”

Brown usually keeps her private life off social media, but gave fans an insight into her relationship with boyfriend Jack Hooks when the couple took a trip to regional NSW in October last year.

“The best surprise birthday adventure. We had lots of time to really get to know each other,” she posted on Instagram, alongside cute couple photos.
